2022 MEETING
As it relates to the SID’s 2022 Annual Meeting, we are planning to meet in-person in Portland, Oregon this coming May. We continue to be aware of the pandemic and its continued challenges as we plan for this meeting. We also will endeavor to provide updates on a periodic basis on the status of the meeting and make final decisions well in advance so that there is ample time to “switch gears” as necessary.
There will be a “hybrid” approach to the Annual Meeting…meaning that there will be not only be the same programming that you’ve experienced at previous meetings, but the capturing of a number of the in-person elements and presenting them at the conclusion of the meeting for those who could not attend or wish to view the various content again. Details of these plans are noted on the Registration page.
Finally…attendance to the in-person meeting will be 100% vaccinated mandatory (for example…either 2 shots of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine PLUS booster, or one shot of the J&J vaccine PLUS booster. Proof will be required upon arrival at the meeting venue and the SID will be soon providing details on how we will ensure complete compliance for the sake of health and well-being of all attendees. The SID will also comply with state and local mandates in effect at the time of the in-person meeting.

YOUR ROOM
The headquarter hotel for the 2022 Annual Meeting is the Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center. The hotel opened in December of 2019 and is located directly across the street from the meeting venue. The hotel is also located on the Max railway line and has a stop in the front of the building. You can board the Max line at the airport and be at the hotel in about 25 minutes.
Please note that by staying at the Hyatt, it allows the SID to meet its’ contractual obligations with the property as well as helping to offset cost of rental fees associated with the Convention Center meeting venue.

JOIN THE SID
Active members of the SID may hold elective office, serve on committees, vote at SID meetings, receive all publications of the SID and attend all meetings. Members also receive an annual subscription to the Journal of Investigative Dermatology (a $853 value) as well as invitations to other educational programs and social events.
